Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

Today we have been learning about Remembrance Day and what the Poppy symbolises. We have observed our two minute silence and remembered all of those that fought for our country, to keep us safe and for our freedom. We have been talking with our children about who we know that are currently serving or family members that may have fought in the war. We have made our own poppies using lots of different materials. They have been painting, sticking, moulding poppies.

The children sat beautifully to observe the silence and reflect, after they listened to “The Last Post”.
