The Property Although the Woodlands property is located in an urban setting, Holly Hill Park is situated across the road. We feel that it is important to encourage the study of nature and the world around us, and Holly Hill Park provides a wonderful environment for the children to explore and learn about the wonders of nature, whilst under close supervision. We have large grounds with plenty of space for children to run, play and develop their physical, | ||||
emotional and social skills. We try to take the children out into the garden as much as possible, weather permitting, and we enjoy having picnics in the garden. The babies have an entire house to themselves which has been adapted specifically for their needs, it is large and airy and well thought out. The babies have their very own kitchen for all their specific requirements. Our toddlers and Pre-schoolers make good use of our | ||||

other large double storey house. Our toddlers have the use of the entire upstairs which enables them to practice “free flow’, all areas are large bright and welcoming. The 3-5 years olds are downstairs and have three large rooms for their activities. Our after school children have a large purpose built building with their own gate right into the school. Once again, the space we provide for the children exceeds the OFSTED requirements. We believe that it is important for the children to interact between ages, as we feel this improves their social skills, but we do ensure that the children are carefully supervised and monitored while mixing with other age groups to ensure that they behave appropriately with older or younger children. Each age group has access to creative play areas, as well as wet and dry sand play. We have a lovely area for the children to dress up and take part in role playing. We also have a good computer for the children to start learning those vital skills through educational play. | |||
