according to how they want to play with them. Mixing toys is a healthy way to broaden their imagination and push the toys to there fullest potential. There is a member of the team in each room so the children can touch base with them and the staff will actively support their play. As well as challenging them to use toys in different ways, we have also found that this is a positive way to make all the children familiar with all the members of our team and promote communication for everyone. Our main objective is to ensure each child has the opportunity to practice a free-flow system and manage their own play so they have the vital skills necessary to assist them when they enter our Pre-school as it provides them with the confidence to face the bigger open areas and to realise that there are some areas they simply are not allowed into without permission. As with our babies we actively support the Birth to Three Framework and use this as a main focus for all of our curriculum planning and observations. Our two dining rooms turn into our messy room and art/craft areas. The children have on offer a craft activity which is set out during the morning and afternoon sessions. These activities may be linked to our birth to three matters framework which encourages all areas of development not just creative. All the busy bee staff fully understand the value and importance of play and we will always be striving to challenge the childrens learning in the best possible way. | ||
