After School and Holiday Club.

We are very proud to present the brainy bees building! This room has been specifically built for the children who are attending breakfast, after school and holiday club. The children are very excited to have their own room with lots of new toys and craft equipment! We have lots of toys aimed at older children to ensure maximum fun at all times!

We are also lucky enough to have a computer, a games console and two televisions to ensure the children have enough to keep them occupied and to allow them time to relax and the end of the day (school is very tiring don’t you know!).

The children are currently helping decide upon the activities that take place in this room. They are, on the whole, given free choice about what they want to do and when, we even go outside and play in the garden when it’s raining.

At breakfast club, the children are given a wider choice of what they would like to eat. Depending on availability, they will be offered toast, cereal, fruit, muffins and bagels; we’ve even made our own breakfast smoothies! This is because the children are that much older, meaning they can butter their own toast etc giving them a sense of achievement and independence.

After school, the children are provided with the same meal as the rest of the nursery which is more of a substantial dinner, a relief for those of you whose children take a packed lunch to school I’m sure! The children are given lots of opportunities to ‘chill out’ and play as well as being offered arts and craft activities.

We are very lucky to have such a good relationship with local schools and even have our very own magic gate leading to Sarisbury Infants, thus keeping the children safe and avoiding having to walk near the road to school. The main emphasis of this area is to let the children relax and have fun while feeling comfortable and cared for.
